1/ Cấu trúc cơ bản của bài thi IELTS Speaking

Part 1: dạng Interview – phỏng vấn

Bạn sẽ bắt đầu phần IELTS với khoảng từ 4 – 5 câu hỏi.
Nội dung các câu hỏi liên quan đến cuộc sống hằng ngày (General topics about your life)
Bạn sẽ không có thời gian chuẩn bị trước phần này
Thời gian cho 4 câu hỏi: 4 – 5 phút.

Do you work or study?
Where do you live?
What’s your major?
What do you do in your free time?

Part 2: Dạng độc thoại (Speech/Monologue)

Bạn sẽ nhận được một tờ đề bài kèm theo các key points sẽ được gợi ý trong đề bài và 1 chiếc bút chì.
Các key points tương ứng với Wh-Questions
Thời lượng: 1 phút chuẩn bị, 2 phút nói
Sau đó giám khảo sẽ hỏi thêm 1 – 2 câu hỏi về chủ đề này và chuyển sang part 3 để tiếp tục phần IELTS của bạn.

✔️ Ví dụ:

Describe an old friend you enjoy talking with
You should say:
Who is this person?
How do you know him/her?
What do you actually talk about and explain why you want to talk to this person.

Park 3: dạng thảo luận – Discussion

Bạn sẽ được hỏi một số câu hỏi có thể liên quan đến Part 2.
Các câu hỏi phần này đòi hỏi bạn phải đưa ra nhiều quan niệm cá nhân và thái độ của bạn trước một vấn đề, thường là một vấn đề mang tính thời sự.
Bạn sẽ phải tương tác, thảo luận với giám khảo nhiều hơn để gây ấn tượng trong bài IELTS Speaking cảu bạn

✔️ Ví dụ:

Would you like to have a few very good friends or a lot of just friends?
If you have a problem, would you go to friends or family? Why?
Do you think it alway better to talk to your friend about a problem?

Tiêu chí chấm điểm:

Fluency and Coherence: Độ trồi chảy và mạch lạc
Lexical resource: Vốn từ vựng và khả năng sử dụng từ vựng
Grammatical range and accuracy: độ đa dạng và chính xác về ngữ pháp
Pronunciation: Phát âm

I’ve always been lucky enough to be surrounded by a large circle of friends who are incredibly supportive, compassionate and open-minded. And everybody knows how precious it is to have such a gift and I, of all people, know better than taking that for granted. That is why I always make an effort to keep in touch with people I’ve become close with and one of whom is my ex-boss, aka my mentor – Eli.

Admittedly, it’s far from an ordinary relationship for most people, but to Eli and I, it came naturally. We first met during the training course we both attended for a luxurious soon-to-be-open restaurant in town roughly 2 years ago. Eli was our Filipino manager and I was about to be a hostess for the very first time. Every concept, every rule and every etiquette when working in the hospitality industry just overwhelmed me and if it hadn’t been for Eli, a patient teacher as well as a dedicated friend, I wouldn’t have managed to complete my training and achieved high performance at our workplace.

However, thanks to those hard times we’ve been through together, we became closer and our conversations would last endlessly ranging from family, career, happiness to setbacks in life. As a predecessor, Eli usually offers me valuable advice and emotional support whenever I confine in him. No lecturing. No “I told you so”. Just pure compassion. He always tries to bring out the best in people instead of being Mr. Know-it-all and patronizing, which is one of the million things I admire about him.

Even though we’re no longer working together and hanging out as often as we should, our strong bond has never got loose. We keep each other in the loop about everything significant happening around us and provide mutual support if needed. Once in a while, we would meet over coffee or dinner to catch up if our schedules allow, and still, I truly, deeply treasure every moment together.
